I know that many of you, like me have been attending more than a few events to help Puerto Rico from the devastation that hurricane Maria has left. However, I am now more concerned with the future of Puerto Rico. Is Puerto Rico going back to what it was before hurricane Maria? Have the political leaders learned anything from this disaster? Are people even questioning why the Federal government took so long to react to the island’s crisis. Were Boricuas as insulted as I was to hear some of President Trumps comments?
These and other questions, like what role should we here in the Diaspora continue to play once they get the lights and water back for everyone on the island?
I urge you to read the following article for additional information on a meeting that took place that addressed some of these very questions.
