Progressive Activist Announces Run In South Bronx Politics

This could be the beginning of many good things to come. Our good friend, Maxi Rivera a long time community progressive activist in the South Bronx will formally announce his candidacy for NY State Assemblyman Saturday April 28, 2012. Maxi will challenge the long term incumbent, Carmen Arroyo  who has been in office since the 1990′s.

It is important to highlight the great things that our community has. As such, I want to share the story of Playwright Quiara Alegría Hudesin, Boricua Pulitzer Prize winner. Just as when they insult one, they insult all, when one of our own is highlighted, all our community is highlighted as well. Congratulations Quiara.
