Though the mainstream corporate media has been ignoring the protest against ABC independent rebel’s with cameras have been recording all the action to share. Democracy in this country has been bought, therefore, real news and information is not going to come from corporate media. The second protest against ABC for the insulting comments aired on the show “Work It” that took place last Thursday was a huge success bringing together a larger group of protestors than the first protest that Lucky Rivera and myself led on Wednesday January 4th. Check out the following video provided by the National Institute For Latino Policy. The show was cancelled, but still no apology, or meeting, therefore, we wil be there again Thursday 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. One hour for our dignity.
Who would of thought that from a discussion and subsequent action of two individuals, Lucky Rivera and myself held last week, that yesterday we would have been joined by approximately 200 others protesting the insult that ABC has perpetrated against out community?
The day has come. Tomorrow Thursday is the day that Boricuas For A Positive Image will converge with all their supporters which include, elected officials, labor leaders, workers, students and all other sectors of the Puerto Rican/Latino community. We will also have support from the African-American community and Anglo community. Everyone will have one theme: ABC NEEDS TO MAKE A PUBLIC APOLOGY & MEET WITH US TO PREVENT THIS TYPE OF INSENSITIVITY FROM REOCCURRING.
